In Persona 5 PS4, the protagonist goes on probation and transfers to Shujin Academy after allegedly assaulting a man. During his probation, he lives under the care of Sojiro Sakura, an acquaintance of his parents, in the attic of Café Leblanc.

One day, the protagonist in Persona 5 PS4 experiences a dream where he finds himself in a prison cell guarded by two girls dressed as wardens, with an old man watching over him from a desk.

An old man declares Joker a prisoner of fate, warns of impending ruin, and orders his rehabilitation.

During a casino heist in Persona 5 PS4, Joker distracts pursuers to aid his team’s escape before police capture him after betrayal.

Police arrest, beat, and drug him, then force him to sign a confession for numerous crimes, including manslaughter. However, his own memory of the alleged events is hazy.
